Yuxi Zheng. President. Male. Born in 1963. He is currently Professor of Mathematics at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. He has been married with Xinping Gu since 1991 and have four children. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Shandong University in China in 1983 and his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1990. He enjoys reading history and cultures. He believes in self-discipline, independence, virtue of integrity, and collaboration. He realizes that our world is small as a village geographically but huge in mental, cultural diversity. He strives to follow the platinum rule “treat others the way they want to be treated.” He cherishes freedom, ability and responsibility. He delights in axiomatic systems and constitutions. He is happy to help organize fellow travelers who are often alone and hopes HCLA will become a tradition.
