Mosuk Chow. She and her husband Duncan Fong, originally from Hong Kong, have lived in State College, Pennsylvania for more than 25 years. She is a research professor in the Department of Statistics at the Pennsylvania State University. Having received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she came to the United State for Graduate study and received a PhD in Statistics from Cornell University. Her current research interests are biostatistics and sampling.Since 2000, she has been the director of the Master of Applied Statistics (MAS) program for both the University Park and the World Campus. As the advisor of MAS students, she has the chance to interact with many hard working and strongly motivated students and found the experience most rewarding. She has always been interested in using technology to enhance teaching and enjoyed developing and teaching online courses over the years.<\/span><\/p>

Mosuk loves hiking, and wishes to be able to visit all major national parks in the United States. She also enjoys reading Chinese classics, historical fiction and modern literature. Recently, she has developed a keen interest in the appreciation of Chinese cultural relics. She felt fortunate to have learnt Chinese as the first language and hopes to continue to learn Chinese culture with friends in the Hua Culture and Life Association.<\/span><\/p>

In her free time, she likes to try her hands on organic gardening. Although there have always been problems: droughts this year, insects the next one, then weeds the third year. Even so, she did manage to harvest kales, bright red tomatoes and sometime zucchinis. She feels most happy and content enjoying the yummy dishes from home grown vegetable.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
